Eating MUSHROOM CHOCOLATE BARS is blissful. It is one of the most unforgettable experiences that I had in my life. Ecstatic, addicting and definitely great – tasting. These chocolates are sweets that you could say no to. I, for a fact, can’t resist the luscious and irresistibly – tempting scent and image of chocolate, I’ll put it in my mouth anytime. And I know that I am not the only one who is under its spell. There are lots of people all over the world who is just like me, who can’t resist the urge to eat chocolate, just like me.
For some, it spells comfort and satisfaction and for some, it is better than making – love. No matter how they put it, the bottom line is; chocolate is one of the most likeable sweets in the world. It is not just a food; it is a passion for some. People from all walks of life are addicted to it, but don’t worry, chocolate addiction is not bad at all. However, there are some people who cannot enjoy this gift from above. Some people have so – called “chocolate allergy”, which means, eating chocolate is like hell for them, not because of the taste, but because of the after – effects.
There are many different causes that triggers chocolate allergy but it is rarely because of chocolate itself or its main ingredient, cocoa. Most of the time, the allergic reaction is caused by the ingredients that makes up chocolate. You see, chocolate is made up of many different elements like milk, gluten, soy, corn syrup, fruits, additives for color and nuts.
Some of these ingredients may have triggered your allergic reaction, not cocoa or chocolate itself. You will see that a person that is allergic to chocolate is / maybe allergic to other foods that has the same ingredient as well. This is pretty much common with some people. Most of them are suffering badly, since chocolate is very delicious. Imagine a large block of chocolate in front of you, staring at you, begging to be eaten but you can’t and you will not because you are thinking of your own safety, because you are allergic. Imagine the trauma and the suffering. That is why I am very thankful that I don’t have any allergies to food.
The first thing to look for when choosing a healthy chocolate is the quality of the beans which have preferably been naturally sun dried. Of course, the beans should also be organic. Dark chocolate is the most healthy choice and it should contain at least 70% Cacao powder. It should also be kosher, vegan and vegetarian approved and be free from heavy metals and toxins. Cocoa is a good source of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals including magnesium,
The use of vegetable oil and sweeteners in chocolate also determines how healthy the chocolate is. For example, the replacement of cocoa butter (which makes chocolate creamy) by vegetable oil, a practice used by some manufacturers, is in violation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s definition of milk chocolate. Altered labelling can be extremely misleading so be cautious when reading this information. Further, sweeteners other than unprocessed raw sugar cane may be dangerous as many toxic substances may be found in refined sugar.
